The Trolox equivalent number
for AquaVivos = 7,701 per gram.
Multiply 7,701 by 29.57 grams and you get an
ORAC score per fluid ounce of 227,718, but
again, this is measured in the concentrate
before it is diluted into a gallon of water.
Its unfortunate that few people in the supplement
industry are comparing the ORAC score with total phenolics - which to
me is more important than just looking at the ORAC score alone. The
phenolics score primarily measures the VEGETABLE BASED POLYPHENOLS
responsible for the ORAC score - the reason this is so important is
that certain chemically-enhanced (enriched), concentrated FRUIT JUICES
may well have artificially increased their ORAC potentials by adding
specific chemicals and/or anti-oxidating preservatives vs. MOTHER
NATURE'S vegetable recipe. It is very likely that the phenolic count of
other products would likely be much lower than pure and natural berry
juices, comparatively speaking.
AquaVivos phenolics measure 1,360.12 per liter, which
means that the ORAC count comes primarily from vegetable concentrates as
opposed to chemicals!!
